Autumn: Intentions, Ink on Khadi Cotton Rag Paper, 3.5 x 5ft
My first piece at this scale. Bored of working at my usual 18x24in/ 20x30in , I decided to take the leap to larger works. I inked a great deal of this with 0-6 brushes before I realized the inherent masochism… (not that it mattered anyway! ha)
In the beginning, work at this scale took about two weeks. My advice to anyone interested in working on large scale pieces but intimidated by the size: stop procrastinating. You can’t work up to it, just start.
